Arts Alley Studio Application

The Arts Initiative at Ohio State and South Campus Gateway invite entrepreneurial, emerging artists in the Columbus area to apply for space at Arts Alley. The intent of the program is to create a dynamic community of visual and performing artists in the South Campus Gateway area. We currently have three studio/gallery/performance spaces (approx 1,000 sq ft). One will provide gallery and programming space for an already-identified arts institutional partner. One will be available for year-long use by an interdisciplinary team of visual and performance emerging artists. The third will be programmed for one-time exhibitions and evening performances in a gallery setting that seats about 40. The spaces are in the alley at South Campus Gateway just off High Street between 9th and 11th Avenues. To apply, please fill out this form and press the "submit" button. If you are applying for the year-long space as an interdisciplinary team of artists, list all members of your team and their art forms. Include materials you use or what type of performance art you create. (Example: John Smith, modern dancer, multi-media performance events; Sarah Jones, sculptor, wood and paper.) Include website addresses for each artist.
Your Proposal: Be creative! Give us an idea of how you would use studio/performance space at South Campus Gateway. Bear in mind we want ideas that would help create a dynamic community of entrepreneurial artists at the Gateway, with at least two public events planned each month.
